O1 – Dwelling (Residencies)

Residency 6 April 2011, 6.30-8.30pm

What does it mean to take up residence somewhere? How does the work of art or work of the artist reside? What is the nature of dwelling?  How does an artist in residence affect a locality or an organisation?  What it means to ‘live with’? Neighbour. Boundaries. Porosity.

Special Guests: Penny Thompson, Chief Executive of the General Social Care Council (GSCC) in conversation with Jack Tan, Artist-in-Residence at the GSCC, MPhil research in Aesthetics and Social Policy.
